Airbnb Paris Boat Experience

Role: Art Director & Director of Photography

Paris does something to you. The light is different. The energy is unhurried. And that's exactly what this campaign needed to feel like.

Airbnb was spotlighting local experiences, and I led the art direction for the Paris rollout, a campaign that had to feel intimate without going quiet, elevated without going cold. We were on a boat on the Seine. It was personal, close, alive. The kind of event that doesn’t shout, it just pulls you in.

My job was to hold that feeling and make it visually palpable, across the app, social, newsletters, ads, without squeezing the life out of it in the process.

I led concept development from the first idea through final delivery, directing all photography production and post-production across multiple on-location shoots. The visual language was soft but vibrant, nonchalant but considered, editorial charm with a party in its eyes.

Natural presence. Nothing forced.

The real craft was keeping that intimacy intact while working within Airbnb's UX constraints across platforms. Every asset had to be both emotionally resonant and technically precise, and those two things had to feel effortless together.

Because in Paris, effort is the one thing you never show.
